 Dings – The is the most common type of dent caused by small objects.  Usually, this type of repair is easy and has not damaged the integrity of the manufacture's paint. 

 Crease​ Type Dents – This type of repair most likely is going to have damaged the manufacturer's paint and possibly altered the metal form. 

Dime to Golf Ball Dents – These type of dents can be repaired using PDR.  Usually these type of dents occur in multiple locations on the vehicle: hood, roof, doors, trunk and rails and are usually caused by a hail storm or very round objects like golf balls. 

Just driving down the highway you can get this type of damage.  Most likely going to have damaged the manufacture's paint and possibly altered the metal form.
